  • Fly Delta Profile is where users can access and add/edit information related to their SkyMiles account.

  • All Delta SkyMiles members who use the app.

  • Delta asked us to update Fly Delta Profile to improve clarity around what content is editable, to introduce new capabilities, move it into the latest visual design system, and to better align it with Delta.com Profile.

 

Today’s Fly Delta Profile experience is limited and counterintuitive to user behaviors.

  • It is unclear to users what information is editable and what’s not.

  • The organization, hierarchy, and field/section names are not aligned with Delta.com.

  • Profile in Fly Delta doesn’t have all the capabilities of Profile on Delta.com, creating inconsistency.

  • Outdated design does not align with the latest Fly Delta design system.

  • Information overload in Profile View

Our Solution

An intuitive Fly Delta Profile experience that provides more control & capabilities to Delta customers.

  • Better aligned with the Delta.com Profile creating a more consistent, omnichannel experience

  • Improvement in clarity and comprehension of content within Fly Delta Profile including a better understanding of which fields are editable

  • Introduction of new capabilities found in other channels and experiences such as the Passport Scanner, Editable Secure Flight Info, and Delta Digital ID

  • Updated Fly Delta Profile into the latest visual design system for a more cohesive in-app experience

— The New Fly Delta Profile

Clearer Organization, Less Information Overload

  • First, we organized the content into clear sections. We utilized drawers for subsections that include multiple items, which reduces the amount of information being shown to the user in the default state. We included icons to bring visual interest to each subsection, while they also help the content become more scannable.

New Capabilities & More Control Over Information

  • We were able to introduce new additions to Fly Delta Profile such as the new Passport Scanner, Delta Digital ID with ability to opt in/out, Saved Companions, plus the ability to edit and add info that was previously unavailable (like your email address).

Scan & Save Your Passport

  • Now app users can scan their passports and save it to their profile. This capability ensures smoother check ins for international flights and saves time at the airport for customers on their day of travel.

Saved Companions

Travel with the same family, friends and/or colleagues frequently? With this new addition to Fly Delta profile, you can now add Saved Companions to your account to make booking your trips faster and easier.

Delta Digital ID

Introducing Delta Digital ID to the app and providing an intuitive and simple way for users to opt in or out of this facial recognition service.

Better Aligned with Delta.com

Fly Delta Profile now has consistent organization, naming and capabilities in relation to Delta.com Profile, creating a more cohesive omnichannel experience.
